Nail goodies!

Hellooo, hope everyone is alright.

Today's nails were done very fast last night before a night out. I couldn't go out with no nailvarnish on so these were a nice fast fix.

I really like nude type colours at the minute so these nails are quite muted but with a bit of glitter.

For these nails I used a Barry M basecoat, Rimmel's Lycra Pro in 'Chic and Cheerful'. For the ring finger and thumb I used OPI Wizard of Oz collection in 'What Wizardry is This?' and Nails Inc Kensington Caviar top coat.

This picture was taken in natural daylight.

The OPI nailvarnish feels a bit textured, similar to the leather look nailvarnishes that are around at the moment. It looks lovely on.

I only used one coat of each colour as I was in a hurry, so the Rimmel polish was a bit more transparent than I would have liked.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend :)

Number One

Hello and welcome to my very first blog post!
Now this is completely new to me, so please be gentle with me.

I'll start by telling you a little bit about myself. I'm 24, currently living with my boyfriend Damon and our best friend Gary in South Shields. I have a sister called Ashleigh who is 21. I love all things related to nails, hair, make up and clothes. I'm not the most fashionable of girls but I like to think I can always put something together that suits me.

I have had no training on how to do nails, I have just taught myself and try different things out to see what works best. I'm not the neatest of people when doing my nails, but I'm getting better at controlling my mess! I currently have natural nails as I am trying to grow them out from acryllics I had on for Christmas time. I love the look of acryllics when they are first put on and quite short, but as soon as they start to grow out I regret them because of how thin my nails end up.

I like to use a variety of products, from a bit more expensive to the cheaper ones. I like nail gems and funky nail varnish.

I'm currently doing the Cambridge diet and have started exercising to try loose alot of weight and be healthier, so this part of my life will probably come up in these blogs alot! The Cambridge diet, for those of you who have never heard of it, is where you have 3 Cambridge products per day, may that be shakes, soups, bars or porridges, plus ALOT of water.

I decided to make this blog as I am forever posting pictures and questions about nails all over my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages and I can imagine people are getting a bit bored of that!

So I'll get you started with some nails I have done in the past!

These were acryllics I had done professionally, but I painted them myself. I loved this look as its not just a plain french tip look and it has a bit of sparkle. I do love a bit of sparkle as you will find out!

These nails were again acryllic and they had a glitter gel over the top. I can't take any credit for this but I had to show you them as they are so pretty!

I told you I like sparlkes! This is just normal pink glitter stuck on with clear nail varnish. I was feeling very girly this day as I wouldn't normally go for full glitter on every nail, just an accent nail usually.

Last picture of the day, I promise!  These were my most recent nails. I absolutely LOVE this polish, it is Rimmel in Caramel Cupcake. It goes on so smoothly and it is a lovely nude colour. I like these black studs against the nude just to add a bit of colour. As I said before, I'm a bit messy with nails as you can see, but I'm getting better!

So! That's all for now. Big first post I know but I had alot to get out.

Thanks for reading :)
